Kindleが飛行機に乗って

　やっぱりどうしてもKindleが欲しくなり、注文したのが1月5日。飛行機に乗って国境を超え、本日、我が家にやってきた。たった三日で届くなんて、地球も狭くなったものだ。

　まだ届いたばっかりなので、とりあえず封をあけて電源を入れた状態。

　ファーストインプレッションを羅列すると、

・とにかく薄い！　この薄さなら、鞄に入れて持ち歩ける！
・文字色がインクっぽい。表示されるとき、紙にインクが染みるように表示されるのが素敵。
・最初から「Hello! ●●●（名前）」と表示されていて、嬉しかった。
・ダウンロードした本は、すでに中に保存されていた。オーダーメイド！
・気に入った文字にマーカーをひき、メモをつけるという機能があった。本物の本みたい！
・しおりは自動的にはいるみたい。

　ほかに気づいたことがあったら、追記していこうと思う。

おお、買いましたか。わたしも先月買って、
あまりの読みやすさに感動しています。
PDFを読めるので、かなりの資料をkindle 2で持ち歩いています。
PowerPointで配布された資料なんかだと、
ホリゾンタル表示にすると、けっこう読めてしまいます。

あと、この手の電子書籍の定番の青空文庫ですが、
「青空キンドル」さんが、素晴らしいです。

とくにブックマークレットが重宝します。
美麗なフォントでkindleサイズに最適化されたPDFが
簡単に作れてしまいます。

あと、FeedbookにRSSを登録しておいて、
そこからmobi形式でDLして、ドキュメントフォルダに転送すると、
ブログも読めます（ただし日本語mobiはパッチあてないとダメです）。

kindleのノウハウ本を作りたいと思ったのだけど、
それを紙でやるのも、ちょっと野暮かと思いました。

＃これ使っているうちに、DX欲しくなりますよねー。

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
